Kick-Off Weekend for the River of Life Pilgrimage!

2-4 pm ~ Montshire Museum – “River Tales: Celebrating the Connecticut River”

6-8 pm ~ St Barnabas Episcopal Church: Labyrinth garden service and celebratory pot-luck dinner

“River Tales: Celebrating the Connecticut River”

As part of our “Kick-Off” weekend in the Upper Valley region, join us at the Montshire Museum for an afternoon of fun among the museum exhibits, listening to guest lecturers speak about the role of the Connecticut River in the local area, plus hearing stories from the River of Life pilgrims and guides about their first two weeks “on the water.”

2 pm ~ Storyteller and Vermont author: Willem Lange
2:30 pm ~ Q&A with River of Life Pilgrimage guides and pilgrims
2:45 pm ~ Boat Building & Floating activity outside in the water features of David Goudy Science Park
3:30 pm ~ Learn about the Connecticut River and watershed: CRREL Hydrologist Gabrielle David

St Barnabas Episcopal Church

After the exciting and enriching activities at the Montshire, venture to St Barnabas Church, just 1 mile from the Montshire, for a service in their Labyrinth garden, followed by a celebratory pot-luck dinner to give thanks for the gift of water.

Bring a dish to share if you’re able to attend — refreshments will be provided!
