Below are general details for our two day-paddle options during the
2019 Connecticut River Pilgrimage. Come join us!
We ask that you come with your own canoe/kayak and paddle(s), PFD, and any other equipment and gear you feel necessary for a day on the water (i.e. water, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, etc.).
For those who register prior to Wednesday, May 22, we will provide lunch and a River of Life Prayer Booklet!

Monday, May 27 ~ Rocky Hill (CT) to Middletown (CT)
- Beginning-of-day details
- Arrival time = 8 am
- Arrival & put-in location = Ferry Park Boat Ramp in Rocky Hill, CT
- Morning prayer service at river’s edge = 8:30 am
- End-of-day details
- Estimated arrival time = 3-4 pm
- Pull-out location = Harbor Park (near Macomber Boat House) in Middletown, CT
- General paddling details
- Mileage = 7 miles in 1 day
- Difficulty = flat water
- Portages = 0
- Participation limit = unlimited
- Suggested donation = $50 or what you’re able to contribute (cash or check accepted the day of)

Thursday, May 30 ~ East Haddam (CT) to Essex (CT)
- Beginning-of-day details
- Arrival time = 8 am
- Arrival & put-in location = Town (Goodspeed) Landing in East Haddam, CT
- Morning prayer service at river’s edge = 8:30 am
- End-of-day details
- Estimated arrival time = 2-4 pm
- Pull-out location = Essex Town Dock in Essex, CT
- General paddling details
- Mileage = 10 miles in 1 day
- Difficulty = flat water with tidal effects
- Portages = 0
- Participation limit = unlimited
- Suggested donation = $50 or what you’re able to contribute (cash or check accepted the day of)
