June 25, 2017: Brattleboro, VT

Join us for a day of celebrating the Connecticut River in the VT/NH/MA tri-state area!

On Sunday, June 25th, events will be held in and around Brattleboro to give thanks for the gift of water!

~ Everyone is welcome to attend ~

During this apex weekend of the River of Life Pilgrimage, join us as we celebrate the living, flowing water of the Connecticut River as it brings together residents of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Brattleboro hosts several water-themed events on Sunday morning and afternoon — we encourage people from all over the tri-state area to join our Pilgrimage community.

9 am ~ Adult Education Forum: “Honoring the Living Waters of Our Earth and Our Lives” with reflections on ‘water justice’ and ‘watershed discipleship’.  Facilitated by Cary Gaunt and Fred Taylor at St. Michael’s Church.

10:15 am ~ St. Michael’s Sunday Service of Worship: “Sacred Water”, with guest preacher, Rev. Stephen Blackmer (founder of Kairos Earth/Church of the Woods in Canterbury, NH, and initiator of the River of Life Pilgrimage).

12 pm ~ “Strawberry Spectacular” – a fund-raiser for Pure Water for the World – with strawberry shortcake, sandwich-fixings, and perhaps a few river songs!  Hosted by St. Michael’s Church.

1-3 pm ~ An opportunity for paddling on the Connecticut River, meditative walking, and reflective sharing on what water means to you/us.  Canoes and kayaks can be rented from a nearby outfitter for a nominal fee – or bring your own!  If you don’t want to paddle, come share your love of water with others who will be enjoying time outside along the river bank.  Meet at the boat launch north of the Marina Restaurant (28 Spring Tree Rd, Guilford, VT).
