Kick-Off Weekend for the River of Life Pilgrimage!
Friday & Saturday, June 16th – 17th
7 pm Friday to 1:30 pm Saturday ~ Ottauquechee River Mini-Pilgrimage
~ Everyone is welcome to attend ~
In conjunction with the River of Life Pilgrimage, the Reverend Norman MacLeod from St James Episcopal Church in Woodstock, VT, has organized a mini-pilgrimage by road through the Ottauquechee River Valley. Dr. Gabrielle David, a river scientist, and the Reverend Nancy Wright, a Luthern pastor and spiritual director, will lead this mini-pilgrimage. At half-a-dozen stops along the river, they will comment on the significance of the river features and our spiritual connections and ethical responsibilities to the watershed in which so many of us live.
Beginning on Friday evening at Mission Farm, the mini-pilgrimage will conclude at the confluence of the Ottauquechee and Connecticut Rivers in time for participants to flow into events at the Montshire Museum for the River of Life Pilgrimage that starts at 2 pm on Saturday.
