Reflective Reading & Sharing
Using a Quaker practice similar to the Catholic Lectio Divina, we will meditatively read a short selection, then write and share our written reflections guided by a set of structured questions.  This method recognizes the importance of personal experience to our spiritual lives and draws us into a sacred space where we can more deeply share with each other.
* Guided by: Ruth Heath, Concord Quaker Meeting (in Canterbury)

~

Discovering Faith Through Shaker Music
This workshop will explore in word and song some of the important spiritual themes in Shaker music.
* Guided by: Roger Lee Hall & Kathy Southworth

Harvesting Seeds of Hope
Seeds hold the future of new life and thus have provided symbols for spiritual growth and awakening for many traditions. They were also a source of income for the Shakers who were the first to sell seeds in small packets. This walk in search of wild and cultivated seeds at Shaker Village will guide participants in exploration and reflection about the science and wonder of seeds and their importance in our lives.  Wear comfortable shoes for easy outdoor walking.
* Guided by: Ruth Smith, Naturalist

~

Creating Beauty to Heal the Earth
A participative creative project rooted in making beauty from gathered materials to contribute to healing and renewing the Earth.  Opening and closing in prayer and song, participants will gather, reflect on the Earth’s wounded places and creatures, collect materials from the surroundings, and collaboratively assemble an icon of beauty and healing for all the Earth.
Wear comfortable shoes for easy outdoor walking.
